A Health & Safety Manager/Health & Safety Auditor is required for a company based in the Black Country area, and is commutable from areas such as Stourbridge, Smethwick Dudley, Halesowen, Oldbury, Tipton, Wednesbury, Walsall and West Bromwich

Salary for the role will be £23 - 25k p/a, broken down to an hourly rate of £12.50 p/h

Overtime is paid at time and a half after 40hrs completed, and fuel expenses will be paid at 40p per mile

The Company are largely involved with the engineering/manufacturing industry, the area you will be working under will be the testing technologies sector, which test metal components for a large range of industries including Aviation, Automotive and Defense

Duties for the role include:

Management and review of all current H&S procedures within the various site testing labs, ensuring all are in line with legislation
Visiting the various site testing labs across the UK including Willenhall, Hartlepool, Rygate, Whitney, Luton and Poole
Assisting the onsite Lab managers and technicians, answering of any queries regarding H&S documentation
Carrying out audits
Evaluating the implemented improvement procedures whilst monitoring the labs
Setting down time scales for both yourself and the onsite lab team to adhere to

The Successful Candidate MUST have a strong background in Health & Safety legislation, and possess a NEBOSH qualification, any management course certificates would be beneficial. A strong knowledge of all Microsoft packages is essential for this position. Candidates must also have a full UK drivers license with own car to use for travel to the various sites.

Although you will be primary based at 1 site in Stourbridge, you will be required to travel to other sites, fuel expenses and accomodation will be paid for when required.

Initially the role will be a 6 month contract but could lead to permanent for the right candidate. Anyone working on a self employed or Ltd company basis is welcome to apply.
