Job Role -
Reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Group Leader within Tooling. The Jig and Tool CAD draughtsperson is responsible for for designing, procuring and commissioning of jigs and fixtures for any manufacturing operations within the clients site based in Stamford area.

Key Responsibilties

To design jigs and fixtures for new or existing products or for new or improvements to existing processes in any area and any location worldwide.

Liase with internal tool roon or sub-contract toomakers, using either new or pre-existing drawings to obtain competitive quotations for price and delivery, place orders, answer queries, conduct proving trials and assist in further commisioning.

To provide technical advice for trouble shooting tooling problems as CGT plants in Stamford or Worldwide, or at their respective sub-contractors

To work with new product, new process, kaizen and 6A teams to supply technical expertise. This might be as a full time or part time member.

Skill Set

ONC/OND as a minimum
Fully trained on Autocad 2003 +
Knowledge of Jig & Tool design - Within in a tool room environment
Ability to produce innovative tooling designs which will improve productivity and quality
