The Job
This role is based in the Application Software Development Team in the R&D function, providing management interface to the clients telecommunications products. The members of the team also help to define and provide the interface to our customer Operational Support Systems
Key Areas + Responsibilities
•Interface to internal customers to review and agree the requirement specifications.
•Interface to the Embedded Software team to define and agree the requirements/interactions between the subsystems.
•To design, develop and support features as required/agreed to support the product roadmap.
•Assist in the provision of effort estimates, as required, for product changes.

EXPERIENCE
Preferably with 2+ years experience or equivalent in the following:
•OO Design and development.
•Perl, C++
•UNIX (Solaris/Linux)
DESIRABLE
•Agile development, UML.
•Web Programming (Javascript/HTML/CGI/XML/XSLT)
•Network Programming (Sockets, TCP/IP), SNMP, HTTP, WSDL
•Java, C#, .NET development skills.
•Telecomms – Ethernet, ATM, DSL, H248, SDH, VOIP
•Clearcase
