The Packing Supervisor will be based at the Leamington Spa premises of a well established and developing Food Manufacturing company.

Due to this growth, we are seeking to recruit a Packing Supervisor who will report to the Packing Manager to support and undertake responsibility for the supervision of the packing team including forward planning for absence/holidays, return to work interviews, training and development and monitoring of performance.

Specific tasks include start up and shutdown of refrigeration system, checking and monitoring of all cleaning in the department including spiral chillers, managing spiral times and speeds to achieve set requirements, quality checks of all products being produced and packed.

Other duties include reviewing and monitoring the effectiveness of all procedures ensuring that they are carried out, document compliance, monitor and report defects and service requirements to the maintenance department ensuring senior managers are notified of any problems likely to pose a safety risk and organisation and maintenance of overtime budgets.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a successful track record within a packing department and ideally have experience in a “clean” manufacturing environment such as food, pharmaceutical or medical.

You will possess excellent supervisory, organisation, communication and IT skills and work well under pressure. You must also be able to discuss and negotiate with other departments and team members to provide solutions to solve problems.

The hours of work are 07:15 to 15:45 Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), however some flexibility will be required to cover the other shift supervisors role in relation to holidays and absence. The salary is between £18k p.a plus pension scheme.
