Management Accountant
Either
Birmingham
£13 - £15 per hour
Duties will include:
1. Management Accounts
• Responsiblility for the preparation and production of the monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheets, KPI’s, variance and comparative analysis.
• Reporting within strict deadlines.
• Responsibility of the Fixed Asset Register
• Maintenance of management accounts including balance sheets, reconciliations, other ledgers and reports including Sun and Vision.
• Ensuring all books of account are accurate through supervision of accounting teams.
• Operational reporting including contract reconciliations.
• Liaising with non-finance managers.
2. Statutory
• Responsible for the production of annual Statutory Accounts, including liaising with auditors and year end tax workings.
• Assisting in the production and return of other statutory and legal information, (VAT, National Statistics)
3. Budget and Forecasts
• Preparation of annual budgets
• Development of Forecasting Models, including operational analysis
4. Treasury and Cash Forecasts
5. Ad Hoc Tasks
• Completion of any ad hoc tasks as designated by the Financial Controller
• Extraction and production of reports as required
• Interaction with personnel at all other centres
What you’ll need to have:
• Must be a part qualified / finalist accountant working towards an accounting qualification.
• Good all round financial and management accounting experience, gained from working in an accounts environment.
• A good understanding of finance and the procedures associated with a finance department.
• Excellent system and IT skills, particularly accounting systems and MS office products.
• Good inter-personal skills with an ability to work within a team, and with non-finance managers.
• Must be proactive, with the ability to work on their own initiative and adaptable to flexible working conditions.
