Reliability and Cost Engineer

1.Responsible to: Engineering Infrastructure Manager
2.Liaison with: employees, predominantly: Design Engineers, Production Engineers, Service Engineers, Buyers, and Quality Engineers.

Main tasks:
•Investigate failure data and determine opportunities for improving reliability across the product range.
•Investigate warranty costs and determine opportunities for cost reduction across the product range.
•Design experiments to validate machine design and performance considering through life use and likely failure modes; work with Niftylift employees, customers, and end users to derive this information.
•Periodically inspect existing products and test reliability on a proactive basis to prevent failures developing in the field.
•Design and conduct experiments to solve 8D problems as part of the company’s team-based problem solving methodology.
•The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role and the organisation’s overall business objectives.

Qualifications and experience
•An Engineering degree in a Mechanical or applied discipline.
•Pro/Engineer modelling and drawing skills.
•AutoCAD drawing skills.
•Proven team worker.
