A Steel / Assembly Operative is required for a growing manufacturing company in the Wolverhampton area. You will be responsible for loading steel coil onto a machine, operating the equipment to produce steel framing, and then assembling the finished frames using basic instructions and a variety of hand and power tools.
The duties of the role include;
- Loading steel coil onto a decoiler
- Operating machinery to produce steel framing
- Bundling and preparing steel frames for assembly
- Fixing and assembling steel framing on large jigs
- Using air tools and power tools
- Following basic instructions to complete assemblies
Previous steel framing or roll-forming experience would be beneficial, although full training on the machinery will be provided. The role would suit someone with a practical mindset who enjoys working with their hands and has an interest in mechanical work or DIY.
A Counterbalance FLT licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
This is a permanent position with a growing start-up business, offering the opportunity to join a small team and develop with the company.
The role is -
- 7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday
- 5 hours per week
- £13.50 per hour
- Permanent position
