An established and highly respected precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join its modern production facility. Supplying high‑quality, technically demanding components into regulated and safety‑critical industries, this business is known for its commitment to engineering excellence, continuous investment in technology, and long‑term development of its people.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will have a strong emphasis on offline programming and continuous process improvement. Working across complex mill/turn and multi‑axis equipment, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing robust machining strategies, supporting new machine and product introductions, and driving efficiency on the shopfloor. The role is broadly split 70% programming and 30% process improvement and technical support, ideal for someone who enjoys both CAM development and practical engineering problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities for the CNC Programmer include:

  • Creating, optimising and verifying CNC programmes for mill/turn and multi‑axis machines
  • Reviewing engineering drawings, CAD models and specifications to assess design for manufacture (DFM)
  • Leading and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  • Collaborating closely with design, turning and milling teams to improve machining outcomes
  • Troubleshooting machining issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing process improvements
  • Producing setup sheets, tooling lists and supporting technical documentation

The ideal CNC Programmer will have at least 2 years’ experience within a programming role, both on-line and off-line.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, low‑volume components in a professional, forward‑thinking environment where quality and precision come first.
