A prominent player in the UK Transport and Logistics sector is seeking an experienced Compliance Supervisor to join their team. This is a crucial, permanent role reporting directly to the Head of Fleet Maintenance and Compliance.

The Role: Key Responsibilities

As the Compliance Supervisor, you will be the linchpin for ensuring the entire vehicle fleet remains compliant and well-maintained across all sites. Your primary focus will be on compliance, maintenance, and achieving KPI targets related to driver behaviour and cost reduction.

  • Fleet Management: Overseeing all vehicle maintenance, condition management, and control across multiple sites.

  • Compliance & Audit: Managing all necessary records, including maintenance logs and tachograph downloads. This includes driver infringement management, WTD adherence, and conducting quarterly fuel card audits.

  • Financial Control: Handling invoice checking, authorisations, and reconciliation specifically for vehicle maintenance spend. Controlling KPIs for maintenance spend and overall efficiency.

  • Driver & Agency Liaison: Managing driver infringement processes, new and agency driver inductions, and overseeing driver's licence/CPC management.

  • Incident Management: Taking the lead on accident management and new damage/defect form processing.

  • Team Support: Providing general assistance to the Head of Fleet Maintenance and Compliance, including occasional out-of-hours support for emergencies.

What You Will Bring

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong background in transport compliance and fleet management.

  • Experience: Proven, substantial experience in a similar role within a busy transport office environment.

  • Essential Qualification: Must hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

  • Skills:

    • Excellent computer literacy, including MS Office (specifically spreadsheets) and transport databases.

    • A highly self-managing, methodical, and detail-oriented approach.

    • The ability to multi-task, remain focused under pressure, and adhere strictly to processes.

    • A proactive ‘Can Do’ attitude and a desire to contribute to continuous improvement.
