A Credit Control Assistant is required to join a growing company in the Bilston area. A detail-orientated and proactive person is required to join their busy finance team. This is a varied role focused on credit control, purchase ledger, and sales ledger responsibilities. You will be confident working independently, have excellent communication skills, and a strong grasp of financial administration.
As a Credit Control Assistant, you will be required to –
- Professionally chase outstanding customer payments to improve cash flow, ensuring correct approvals and timely settlements
- Process and maintain supplier invoices accurately
- Raise and issue sales invoices, maintaining up-to-date records
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts, resolving discrepancies
- Assist with bank reconciliations and monitor company cash flow
- Process employee expenses and support financial documentation
- Prepare management reports including aged debt analysis and payment schedules
Ideally you will have the following skills and experience –
- Credit control, sales & purchase ledger exposure
- A basic understanding of VAT
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Ability to manage your workload independently and meet deadlines
On offer for this Credit Control Assistant role –
- Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (on-site)
- Starting salary of £26-28,000p/a
- Company pension
