Design Engineer responsibilities include –
- Designing tooling, jigs, fixtures and gauges to support production requirements.
- Producing and maintaining 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs and associated documentation.
- Providing engineering support to production, resolving tooling, process and material issues.
- Driving continuous improvement through tooling upgrades and design standardisation.
- Streamlining engineering and documentation processes to support efficient production.
Design Engineer desirable skills and experience –
- Minimum 2 years within a similar role such as Graduate Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Proven design background within a production environment.
- Strong experience using 3D CAD software such as Catia or SolidWorks.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and modern manufacturing methods.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadline.
