Due to continued success and growth, a leading precision engineering company based in Birmingham is seeking a contract Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. In this role, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of production equipment across multiple sites—reducing downtime, improving reliability, and driving continuous improvement. Maintenance Engineer responsibilities include:
- Providing reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance to minimise downtime
- Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and TPM tasks in line with schedules
- Supporting new equipment installations, upgrades, and refurbishments
- Using CMMS systems to plan and log maintenance activity
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations and company standards
Desirable Maintenance Engineer education and experience:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Knowledge of TPM practices and use of CMMS systems
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)
