Maintenance Engineer Duties
This is a hands-on position supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation where you'll be trusted to diagnose faults, solve problems and help improve equipment performance.
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
- Fault finding on Siemens S7 PLC-controlled equipment
- Maintaining and improving blow film extrusion lines and associated machinery
- Supporting continuous flow production equipment to minimise downtime
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and implementing effective solutions
- Working closely with production teams to maintain output and efficiency
- Contributing to ongoing reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participating in a 1-in-3 weekend call-out rota
You'll have the autonomy to manage your workload and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on site performance.
Maintenance Engineer Requirements
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing
- Multi-skilled background with an electrical bias (approximately 60/40)
- Strong electrical fault-finding abilities
- Experience working with Siemens S7 PLCs from a fault-finding perspective
- Exposure to continuous process or high-volume production environments
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and prides themselves on doing the job properly
- Experience with blow film extrusion equipment would be advantageous, although engineers from similar manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.

- £43,000 - £45,000 basic salary
