We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter/Workshop Assembler in Pershore. You will be required to carry out assembly and fitting tasks within the workshop, ensuring high standards of quality and safety in the production and maintenance of locomotive components.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:00 – 12:00
Pay Rate: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Your duties as a Mechanical Fitter will include:
- Assemble and fit mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively.
- Inspect and test assembled components for accuracy and functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on workshop equipment as required.
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
To be successful in the role of Mechanical Fitter, you will need:
- Previous experience as a workshop fitter or mechanical assembler.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Competent in the use of hand tools and workshop machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
