New Product Development (NPD) Coordinator – Manufacturing / Engineering
An established UK manufacturing business, recognised for its in‑house technical expertise, global supplier base and commitment to delivering high‑quality engineered products, is seeking a proactive NPD Coordinator to support ongoing product development activity across multiple divisions. With over 100 years of combined industry experience, the organisation prides itself on technical capability, tailored services, and efficient project delivery.
As the NPD Coordinator, you will support the delivery of new product development projects across both OEM and M&E divisions. You will be responsible for coordinating cross‑functional activities, managing project and technical data, and ensuring projects progress smoothly through each stage of the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support NPD Leads in managing projects from concept to launch
- Maintain project plans, trackers and status reports
- Coordinate cross‑functional actions across purchasing, quality and production teams
- Assist with product specifications, engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation
- Liaise with suppliers on new product requirements, timelines and deliverables
- Coordinate sample procurement, pre‑production builds and validation activities
- Track product approvals, testing status and launch readiness milestones
- Maintain accuracy of NPD systems, documentation and internal databases
- Support continuous improvement of NPD processes and workflow efficiency
Candidate Profile
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a new product development environment
- Previous exposure to roles such as NPD Assistant, Junior Engineer or Project Coordinator is advantageous
- Strong organisational and project coordination abilities
- Technical literacy, especially with drawings, BOMs, and specifications, is beneficial
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder coordination skills
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with project tracking tools
Qualifications
- HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, Product Design or a related technical field (preferred)
- Or equivalent hands‑on industry experience
