A leading manufacturer of precision plastic components for international OEMs is expanding its Quality Department and seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join the team.
This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring product quality, supporting customers with technical concerns, and maintaining high manufacturing standards. You’ll help drive process improvements, lead problem-solving activities, and ensure stable, repeatable production processes.
Up to £37,000 | Monday–Friday, early finish on Fridays
Key duties of the Quality Engineer:
- Lead warranty and service-related problem-solving activities.
- Conduct process audits, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective solutions.
- Support production teams with problem-solving, ensuring corrective actions are robust and sustainable.
- Carry out self-audits to spot abnormalities, maintain process control, and highlight weaknesses.
- Contribute to project development, including:
- Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Quality Instructions
- Checking fixture design, process capability studies, and master sample definition
To be successful in the role of Quality Engineer, the ideal candidate will:
- Have Quality Engineering experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Possess strong knowledge of injection moulding and/or paint processes.
- Have proven experience using 8D methodology and resolving customer quality concerns.
- Hold a recognised engineering qualification (or equivalent).
