A successful precision engineering and manufacturing business is currently seeking a Quality Inspector – CMM to join its established Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-organised company offering structured training and long-term stability. The successful professional will operate CMM and manual inspection equipment, ensuring components meet specification and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
Quality Inspector – CMM duties include –
- Inspect components using CMM with PC-DMIS software and standard measuring tools.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T requirements.
- Complete inspection reports and record results in line with quality procedures.
- Carry out incoming goods inspection and support supplier quality verification.
- Identify and report non-conforming components, supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement within inspection and manufacturing activities.
Desirable skills and experience for the Quality Inspector – CMM role –
- Experience within a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, CMM Operator or similar position.
- Experience operating CMM equipment, ideally using PC-DMIS software.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience using verniers, micrometers, height gauges and surface finish testers.
- Previous experience within precision engineering or manufacturing.
