A leading supplier of plastic parts is actively seeking an Injection Moulding Toolmaker with experience in Tool & Die Maintenance due to an increase in work. With a long and stable past, the company has continued to grow with increased orders and the acquisition of businesses, making them a major player within the industry.
*** Up to £42k double days with early finish on Fridays ***
The role will involve highly-skilled, complex and specialist detailed work of maintaining the engineering tooling used to produce components, products and assemblies.
As a Toolmaker / Tool Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:
- Carrying out proactive maintenance on moulding tools that come from production and logging them in the system.
- Preparing moulding tools in a good condition ready for production.
- Liaising with the processing team regarding issues with mould tools.
- Investigating issues to find root causes, passing information back to the design department and management so issues can be avoided in future.
- Maintaining spares and equipment to avoid lengthy repairs time.
To be successful in the role of Toolmaker / Tool Maintenance Engineer the ideal candidate will:
- Have a time severed toolmaking apprenticeship with experience of working with Injection Mould Tooling
- Be skilled in Bench fitting
- Have experience in manual machining using miller, lathes and surface grinders.
- Have experience of production tooling support breakdowns and TPM activities
